23.4.2014 at 02.10 am Kuopio, Kaislastenlahti. There is a small snow and ice covered pond from which flows a burbling stream which disappears around the roots of the fir trees. The edge of the pond is strewn with fallen reeds. There are otters playing in the melted water around the stream that flows from the pond in this early April morning.

11.5.2011 at 5.36 am Siilinjärvi. This expanse of sandy beach has been sculptured by the waves so that small dunes have been created. Near to the shoreline, the reflections of some rocks sticking out of the water are mirrored in the calm surface of the water.

12 Eurasian Pygmy Owl and Song Thrush (3'49”)
10.5.2016 at 8.06 pm Kuopio, Riistavesi. The grey trunk of a dead pine tree stands upright at the edge of the swamp. The budding flowers of the marsh tea plants are scattered around the spaghnum moss-covered ground. It is possible to spot an old woodpecker’s nest in the trunk of a tilted decaying birch tree.

29.5.2016 at 03.46 am Kuopio, Riistavesi. The marshland and the small ponds create breaks in the conifer forest. The delicate green shades of deciduous trees seem to frame this marshy and pond-filled landscape.

16 Common Rosefinch, Yellowhammer and Eurasian Siskin (6'02”)
29.5.2016 at 07.10 am Kuopio, Riistavesi. The buds are sprouting from the branches of the bushes in a ditch running along the edge of a field. The rowan trees with their spreading branches are growing in the centre of the meadow next to the tumbled stones of an old ruin.
